Background Information
Established and commissioned on 9th April, 2002 by Dr. D.K. Olukoya, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Worldwide. It was one of 13 schools under the institue of spiritual warfare on on 7th November, 2002 as the umbrella covering the schools. The pioneer registrat Dr. F.K. Oladele automatically became H.O.D under INSWAR and was elevated to a Rector in year 2008 by a letter signed by the then ministerial administration. The current Rector is Pastor (Dr.) J.I. Ilori. He became the current Rector in June 2010 at the G.O's office when the former Rector travelled.
Objectives of the School
The school of Counselling and Peace Studies was one of the first Five out of fifteen schools granted authonomy by the Church and it was established to render 3-month full time English and Yoruba courses, 6-month part time English and Yoruba and sandwich training programmes for foreign students in the following courses:
- Christian Counselling
- Integrated Counselling
- Peace-keeping Mediation and Conflict Resolution
- Career Counselling and Empowerment for Ministers of God, Workers, Members and Christians from other churches who applied through the G.O at the Headquarters, Prayer City, Regional campuses in Lagos and some states in the Federation.
The G.O has recently approved a campus for the school in California. The school provides and promotes enviable academic and practical training in the above mentioned areas based on strong biblical art/perspectives, communication and contemporary issues in counselling, peace keeping, mediation abd conflict resolution in which ministerial and speciality programmes are taught, upheld and practiced for the sons and daughters of the living God who are trained as spiritual soldiers/ambassdors for the end time.

School of Counselling and Peace Studies offers 3-month (English and Yoruba) full time courses and 6-month (English and Yoruba) part time courses in the following areas:

Entry Requirements
A minimum of WASC or NECO with a good grade in English language. In addition a student should have attended school of biblical studies, school of prayer and school of deliverance in order to apply the knowledge gained in counselling and mediation. Salvation and Holy Spirit baptism are other prerequisites

The tuition/school fees for a whole session is NGN 14,000 comprising of tuition, packs and certificate

English and Yoruba are the mode of instruction; we use interpreters in case of foreign French students.

Requirements for Graduation
- At least 70% attendance in class lectures
- Full payment of school fees to Bursar
- Satisfactory performance in continuous assessments and examinations
- Full participation in power nights and case studies
- Satisfactory behaviour throughout the course
- Project completed and defended
- Registration in the school only during the session
Rules and Regulations
- Lecturers and students must live a life that is in conformity with the visions and missions of MFM
- Demonstration of brokeness and Christ likeness, godly life, humility and characteristics of a counsellor by staff and students
- Ministration, prayer and counselling must be part of the life of every staff and student
- No double registration by any student in any diet
- No graduation for students who do not complete their courses
- Lateness and absenteeism shall not not be entertained
- Maintenance of high sense of discipline and integrity by staff and students
- Examination malpractices shall be severly dealth with
- Students must enter the lecture rooms with the school's ID card
- Students must write and pass the continuous assessment and examinations
- Absolute and total loyalty of staff and students to the school and MFM
- Lecturers must be godly, cheerful, pleasant and always put in their best
- Mutual respect between lecturers, other staff and students
- Visitors are not allowed to visit lecturers or students unless on emergency
- Lecturers who cannot attend a lecture must notify the school in a timely order to make alternative arrangement
- All students and staff must be born again and spirit-filled
